About Me
Hi there! So happy you’re here! I’m the voice behind The Bookish Mama — a nurse, lifelong reader, and mom of four, including a newborn.
I started this space because motherhood isn’t one-dimensional — and neither are we. It’s beautiful and exhausting. Joyful and overwhelming. Fulfilling and identity-shifting. I believe we need more room to talk about all of it.
Here, I share honest stories from my everyday life — the messy moments, the quiet reflections, the emotional rollercoasters, and the small wins that feel bigger than they should.
I write about pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, and the complicated feelings that can exist alongside deep love.
Books have always been my anchor. Reading is how I slow down, reconnect with myself, and remember who I am outside of “mom.”
Through Bookish Mama, I hope to encourage other women to reclaim small pockets of time — to read, to reflect, to feel, and to grow.
You don’t have to be perfectly grateful every second.
You don’t have to love every stage.
You don’t have to lose yourself to be a good mom.
If you’re looking for honesty, solidarity, and permission to feel it all — you’re in the right place.
