The Ultimate Gift Guide For Book Lovers Under $25

If you’re anything like me, you’re always hunting for gifts that feel thoughtful without making your credit card cry.

Not because I don’t want to spoil the people I love, but because there are a lot of them… and life is expensive these days.

Because I am a book lover myself and so those are my people, here is a list of gifts under $25 a true book lover will appreciate, without your wallet complaining too much.

This post contains affiliate links. That means if you make a purchase through one of my links, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. I only recommend products that I personally use, genuinely love, or would happily recommend to a fellow book lover.

Kindle Accessories

If you know an obsessive book lover, they definitely have a kindle. This is an essential part of the book girlie tool kit.

They make a remarkable amount of kindle accessories these days but a page turner and kindle stand are a must.

This setup lets your favourite reader curl up under a blanket, turn pages with a tiny remote, and pretend moving is no longer part of the reading experience.

They will also love a pop socket, or kindle case if you know the specific model they have. These kindle cases have been in my cart for ages… I don’t really need a new one but I probably will buy one anyway. It’s about the aesthetic OK!

A Heated Shawl

Picture a rainy Saturday, a cozy blanket, a steaming mug of tea, and absolutely no intention of leaving the couch. A heated shawl somehow makes that entire experience even better.

Trust me on this.

If you love a book lover, they will LOVE this gift.

Speaking of Tea

I’m pretty sure it’s written somewhere in the official Book Lover Handbook that reading and tea must always go together. I haven’t actually seen the handbook… but I’m convinced it exists.

Now, your book lover will definitely already have a favorite mug, but they probably don’t have this awesome little personal tea pot!

Anything that provides hot tea AND prevents them having to get up and make a refill is going to be a big win.

A mug warmer also makes a wonderful addition to the tool kit!

Night Light for Your Night Owl

Now your book lover will likely enjoy a mix of e-books mixed with the occasional physical book. And they will, of course, try to read in the dark or other substandard lighting conditions.

So, do them (and their eyes a favor) and get them this rechargeable clip on book light.

They, and their optometrist, will thank you later.

A Book Journal

If you’re reader likes to romanticize their life, and trust me, they do, a book journal helps them keep track of all their favorite quotes, characters and moments in the books they love.

My own reading journal was designed specifically for fantasy and romantasy readers, with space to keep track of favourite quotes, unforgettable characters, magical worlds, and yes… book boyfriends.

Decorative Elements

Every serious reader eventually ends up creating what I lovingly call a “book shrine.” It starts with a couple of special editions… then suddenly there are candles, fairy lights, little dragons, plants, mugs, and decorative bookends. It has a life of its own.

Gifting something they can add to the book shrine is always a good choice.

I suggest fun book ends, LED fairy lights or this cute “books read” sign.

You can’t escape the book shrine, and it will grow, so you might as well embrace it haha.

A Book Tote

No matter where you go with your book lover, you can guarantee their book is coming with them. And probably their book journal, annotation kit and backup kindle as well.

So chances are they basically need a luggage carrier to go anywhere.

So save their back and arms, and gift them this lovely tote bag for all their bookish needs.

Stickers

Book people love stickers. How else will we inform the entire world and everyone at the office that we are book lovers if we don’t decorate our laptop, phone case and every other available surface with little proclamations of our bookishness?

This pack of 100 will satisfy even the pickiest of sticker choosers.

Bonus points if the pack includes dragons, coffee, libraries, morally grey fictional men, and the phrase “Just One More Chapter.”

Whether you’re shopping for a birthday, Christmas, or just looking for a little “thinking of you” gift, you really can’t go wrong with something that helps a book lover enjoy their favourite hobby even more.

At the end of the day, we book people are pretty simple creatures. Give us a cozy blanket, a hot cup of tea, a good story, and maybe one more accessory we absolutely didn’t need (but will use every single day), and we’re happy.

I hope this list gave you a few ideas for the bookworm in your life… or perhaps inspired you to accidentally add a few things to your own cart. I won’t tell. 😉
